Poverty drives people to do things which they wouldn't have dreamed even in their worst dreams.

Like this particular man in the Chinese city of Wuhan, who tied up his eight year old son to a lamp post on a road and started an auction for selling him off.

The boy was terrified and looked to be on the verge of crying.

Finally passersby were upset with the act. They beat up the boy's father and rescued the little boy.
